Sudin Bhattacharya, assistant professor, biomedical engineering, pharmacology & toxicology, cris

A native of Kolkata, India, Sudin did his undergraduate studies at Jadavpur University, his Master's at the University of Kentucky, and his PhD at the University of Michigan, all in Mechanical Engineering. He then pursued his growing interest in Biology to do a postdoc in Computational Biology at The Hamner Institutes in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, where he was also Research Investigator for several years. Sudin joined MSU as an Assistant Professor in November 2015.


SHuman Zhang, MS STUDENt, biostatistics

Hailing from Wuhan, China, Shuman did her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in Biosystems  Engineering with a biomedical concentration. She will continue her studies at MSU as a Masters student in Biostatistics beginning Fall 2017. In her spare time, Shuman loves playing tennis and cooking Chinese food.

David grew up in Belgrade, Serbia, and has had a long standing interest in computation and more recently modeling. After his undergradute studies in Belgrade, David narrowed his focus from Computer Science and Engineering to biomedical signal processing withing Electrical Engineering, which led him to complete a Masters degree at the University of New Hampshire. David is now pursuing a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering at Michigan State starting in Fall 2017. Outside of academics, David enjoys cycling, running, cooking and dancing.
